Our Beginning
In May 2023, members of Canadian renewable energy co-operatives met in Ottawa for the “Scaling up the Impact of Renewable Energy Co-operatives in Canada” summit. This first-of-its-kind event resulted in the creation of Community Energy Co-operative Canada | Coopérative Énergétique Communautaire Canada.
Our Goal
CECC represents the renewable energy co-operative sector in Canada and believes in the power of renewable energy to transform communities. Together with individuals and organizations across Canada we are working to scale up community ownership and governance of energy through co-operatives. Join us today and be a part of the movement for a better tomorrow and create a sustainable and equitable future.
