The Cooperative Energy Forum marked the inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Community Energy Cooperative Canada (CECC) and the second annual Renewable Energy Cooperatives in Canada Summit.

The Community Energy Forum and the CECC Annual General Meeting in June was a resounding success with 39 people attending in-person at Dalhousie University in Halifax and 51 people attending virtually from across the country. Presentations and panels throughout the two days included the experience and knowledge from seasoned practitioners, senior researchers and students from across the country and even on-line presentations from European experts. A summary of the Forum will be prepared and made available in the coming weeks.

 

The AGM portion of the meeting went very well with the bylaws being approved and the founding board members reinstated. The Chair’s report at the AGM was well received and we will be moving forward with activities to support our members.
